Pull Over to Safety
The first thing to do is not to panic. When the engine suddenly stops, you are vulnerable to collision with other drivers behind you. Therefore, always bear in mind that in such a situation, you have to turn on the hazard lamps immediately.
Second, do not check your car in the middle of the road. Pull your car over, and if needed, ask other drivers to help you. Leaving the car on the street is dangerous to other drivers and you as well.
Check the Ignition System

If the battery has a problem, you need to detect it by checking the cable at the battery terminal. Ensure that the cable is installed correctly. If the cable looks loose, then you need to tighten it.
It is recommended that you first clean the terminal using sandpaper or brush (use a toothbrush) to clean it. Also, check the adequacy of battery volume. If it is not enough, immediately add it according to the dosage.

Having a contact of a towing service is a must because you will never know what problems that can happen with your car. Even if you are confident with your knowledge about cars, you cannot rely on your own all the time. For instance, not all areas are safe. And if your car happens to stop working there, it would be better if you use a towing service and get your car and you somewhere safe.
